Support Oxford against Cambridge in the 164th men's Boat Race and 73rd Women's Boat Race

The Cancer Research UK Boat Races, supported by BNY Mellon and Newton Investment Management, sees four openweight crews competing from the University Stone at Putney to Mortlake up the four mile (6.8km) course.

The times of the races are:

  • 4.31pm - the women’s boat race
  • 4.46pm - the women's reserve race (Blondie v Osiris)
  • 5.01pm - the men’s reserve race (Goldie v Isis)
  • 5.31pm - the men's boat race

The Races are open to the public and you can gather at any one of the many vantage points along the riverbank such as Putney, Hammersmith, Barnes or Chiswick, on watch live on BBC One in the UK or on the BBC iPlayer.

OUS Gloucestershire - Boat race party
Date and time: 4pm-6pm, Saturday 24 March
Venue: The Village Hall, Sheepscombe, GL6 7RQ 
Details: The group invites Oxonians to join them and Cambridge alumni for their annual boat race party. The event will include an afternoon tea with home made cakes with tea, coffee, soft drinks and prosecco. There will also be a charity raffle - there is no obligation to join, although attendees are invited to bring along something to raffle off. The cost for the event is £10 per person.

Canada

Vancouver Oxford & Cambridge Society - Boat race breakfast
Date and time: from 8am, Saturday 24 March
Venue: The Penny, 1601 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC V5L 3Y4
Details: Cheer on the dark blues with fellow Oxonians at the group's annual boat race breakfast. Food and coffee will be available and alcoholic drinks can be served after 9am, for those wanting to toast the winners and/or drown their sorrows in a traditional manner.

Germany

OUS Munich - Viewing of the boat race
Date and time: 5pm, Saturday 24 March
Venue: Cafe an der Uni, Ludwigstraße 24, 80539 Munich.
Details:  Dust off your college blazer and join the group for some Blue Boat Action, as they are joined by fellow Cambridge Alumni in Munich to cheer the Dark Blues to (hopefully certain) victory.

Oxford & Cambridge Society of Hamburg - Viewing of the boat race
Date and time: 4pm-9pm, Saturday 24 March
Venue: The home of Dominik Kovert - full address details provided upon registration.
Details: Join the group for an afternoon of food, drink and good-natured jibes viewing the boat race. Dominik's garden has a trampoline and a range of other things to keep children entertained. There will be coffee in the afternoon and a buffet spread for after the broadcast (guests will be able to make a contribution to the costs).

Netherlands

Oxford & Cambridge Society of the Netherlands - Viewing of the boat race
Date and time: 5pm-11pm, Saturday 24 March
Venue: Het Spaarne, Marisplein 5, NL-2102 AC Heemstede
Details: The group invites alumni to join them to watch the two boat races together. There will also also be a brief AGM between the two races, plus a dinner afterwards.The cost is €35 for members + one guest, €40 for non-members.

Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race Dinner Committee of NY - 85th Annual boat race dinner
Date and time: 6pm-9pm, Thursday 5 April
Venue: Theodore Dwight Reception Room and College Hall, The University Club of New York, 1 W 54th St, New York, NY 10019, USA
Details: The group invites alumni to join them for their annual boat race dinner, which will include two guest speakers and live performances from a local chorus. There will be a cocktail hour from 6pm and a three-course dinner from 7pm. The cost is $190 for young alumni (matriculation 2008-17), $220 for others. To book, please complete the online form.
