Scan and Deliver
Scan and Deliver is now available to all current Bodleian Library card holders.

The University's Department for Continuing Education offers over 1,000 part-time courses and programmes per year: online classes, weekly classes, day and weekend events, continuing professional development, summer schools, undergraduate and postgraduate certificates and diplomas, Master's and DPhils.
Offers for alumni: 10% discount on course fees for online short courses, day and weekend events (the discount doesn't apply to food or accommodation). There is also a £50 discount available on selected summer programmes.

- The Oxford University Summer School for Adults, a programme of 40 week-long accredited classes run over four weeks at Rewley House in Oxford
- The Oxford Experience, a programme of 60 week-long classes held over six weeks at Christ Church

- English Literature Summer School, conducted over three weeks at Exeter College

The University of Oxford Botanic Garden is the oldest Botanic Garden in Britain, and is the most compact, yet diverse, collection of plants in the world. It is open throughout the year, and differs from other types of gardens as it represents collections of plants that are grown for purposes other than purely aesthetic reasons.

Harcourt Arboretum has been part of the University of Oxford since 1963. The site comprises 130 acres containing the best collection of trees in Oxfordshire with some of the oldest redwoods in the UK. Seasonal highlights include wildflower meadows, rhododendrons and bluebell woods. It is open throughout the year.

The University Club is a sports and social facility for staff, graduates, alumni, retired or ex-staff of Oxford University, and membership is now available to their friends and family. The Club is situated on Mansfield Road, a short walk away from the city centre.
The Club offers great value, menus catering for all tastes and a broad selection of beverages, including local speciality ales. The Club also offers accommodation and plays host to the following sports: aerobics, dance, football, cricket, archery, tennis, squash, karate and fencing. Use of the gym is available for guests staying at the Club.

The Sheldonian Theatre was erected in 1664-8 to a design by Sir Christopher Wren (1632-1723) from funds donated by Gilbert Sheldon (1598-1677) – a former Chancellor of the Univeristy of Oxford.
Its purpose was to provide an appropriate secular venue for the principal meetings and public ceremonies of the University, and this remains its purpose today. The Sheldonian was described by the European Commission as 'one of the architectural jewels of Oxford'.
