Founded in 2017, hailed the “Opera Festival of the Next Generation” (Telegraph, 2024), Waterperry Opera Festival makes opera accessible, enjoyable, and enriching for everyone. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Waterperry House and Gardens in Oxfordshire, the Festival showcases high-quality productions performed by a diverse company of emerging artists. Over the years, the Festival has grown to a 10-day Summer Festival in August, welcoming thousands of attendees and touring productions to major arts festivals across the UK. In summer 2026, the Festival will premiere Puccini’s timeless classic La Bohème and Donizetti’s beloved Elixir of Love, alongside a range of other captivating productions for attendees of all ages.
