AN EVENING WITH THE VICE-CHANCELLOR IN LOS ANGELES

During a recent visit to Los Angeles, Professor Tracey, Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, sat down with Stuart Ford, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AGC Studios (and St Edmund Hall alumnus) to discuss leadership of the creative and intellectual sectors.

Their talk included discussion of changes in the film industry as a result of audience attention, a changing economic model for the industry, and threats of AI. Ford also spoke about the importance of independent cinema and the impact that his time at Oxford had on his career trajectory. In his own words, “Oxford taught me who I was.”
